  • Web Design Trends of 2023

2023 is here! So now is the time for designers to be aware of the latest web design trends. These fresh ideas will bring us renewed creativity for all our aesthetic experiments in 2023. In this post, we’ll talk about the leading trends for the coming year. Glass & crystal elements Transparent 3D elements with glass and crystal textures give websites a modern and refined look. This includes “glassmorphism” – the introduction of transparent and blurred backgrounds with the effect of glass. These textures can be used in many ways but the most common are as backgrounds and frames. You can also use them as overlays on images or text. Microinteractions These are little tips, comments and other interactive elements that prompt users to take action. This could be illustrations moving along as they scroll, or text that appears after clicking on an image. Interactions help to hold a user's interest, giving them the feeling of being involved and immersed. This provides the valuable impression that they are the chief character in the exchange. BodyActive Health website by WIX PRO “Claymorphism” One of the hottest web design trends that will continue to evolve in 2023, this is a style of 3D graphics featuring friendly-looking and attractive humanoids. Key components: light, pastel and bright colours large, rounded corners double inner shadow outer shadow Claymorphism is a great choice to give minimalistic projects flavour and dynamism while remaining accessible. Deliver Secure Melbourne website by WIX PRO Firm module boundaries A visual technique implementing a visible grid with straight lines makes site design strict, simple and realistic. It’s an excellent way to display more content without making a page crowded and repetitive. This trend gained popularity in 2022 and will be built on in the coming year. Salut World Brisbane website by WIX PRO Lottie animation One of the most important trends for modern design teams is the use of Lottie animations. This open-source, JSON-based tool was designed to easily create, test and display animations. The Lottie library enables designers to show After Effects-style animation in real time. And it’s not just GIFs – Lottie animations are much smaller in size, but of excellent quality. Just be careful to not include animation for the sake of animation – it’s best to use these to emphasise a point. Scribo Tel-Aviv website by WIX PRO Collages Collage shows the world as we would like it to be — a place of discoveries and miracles. In 2023, designers will completely break down the boundaries between the online and physical worlds by embedding digital illustrations into photographs and mixing elements, colours and textures. At times when life seems grey and complicated, it’s creativity that gives us a helping hand and reminds us that we can make magic if we put in the effort. Capabable Marketing Australia website by WIX PRO Abstract gradients Interesting colour transitions have not lost their relevance but this year they are coming to us abstracted and blurred. The elongated, оrganic forms of abstract gradients give a sense of weightlessness, with soft colours and smoothness enhancing the calming effect. Experts note that this style has been gaining popularity over the past few years, but more recently has become even more charming.. This creative trend will only gather steam in the months and years ahead. WIX PRO EDITOR X Experimenting with typography In 2023 we can expect to see a lot of creative and experimental typography. Creative typography is a non-traditional method of using fonts. This includes inverted letters, letters of various sizes, letters in the form of mini-illustrations or symbols and animated letters. Experimental typography is a cool way to stand out from the crowd. The possibilities are practically endless and can help you create a unique and memorable website. Hand-drawn style & author's illustrations Illustrations have been very popular in the world of web design for a few years now. In 2023, priority will move to the use of stock images for the development of brand illustrations. This style is relaxing and evokes pleasant emotions to convey important messages in a very accessible, human way. Custom illustrations keep users interested and intrigued by a website and its content. The trend will be towards simple, clear drawings in a naive and childlike style. Symmetrik Switzerland website by WIX PRO Revival of punk Punk is a rebellious counterculture that originated in the backyards of society and remains there to this day. But in 2023 we will witness a resurgence of its popularity – because now there are plenty of reasons to protest. Punk design is a complete rejection of luxury and order. Punk pieces are full of energy; they are a reflection of real life, and viewers take comfort in that honesty. From a visual point of view, punk is characterised by a do-it-yourself approach: careless inscriptions, clippings, mismatched fonts, chaotic collages and so on. The most important thing in 2023 is to continue to focus on providing users with a website that gives them priority. Users are no longer willing to put up with non-responsive websites with outdated designs. Not only do they expect every site to be customised for every kind of device, but they also want sites to be truly user-friendly and visually appealing. By putting usability and user experience first, it’s easy to determine how a website should look in 2023.

  • Google Business Profile Optimisation

If your business serves a local area, then there's no better place to be found than on Google Maps. There are literally dozens of factors that go into who shows up there and in what order. Rather than tearing your hair out looking at all of them, what if you could just focus on a handful of things that will have the biggest impact on your Google ranking? The seven big local SEO ranking factors: Links back to your website User behaviour (how long visitors stay, click-through rates, etc.) Citations (directory listings, social profiles, any mention of your business around the web) What's on your website itself (basically all the things that you do for regular SEO will help you in the map listings as well) Reviews (including your overall star rating, how good they are, how many and how often you get them) Personalisation for individual searchers (their unique search and browsing history as well as device they're on and where they're searching from will all skew the results for that user specifically) Your Google Business Profile (GBP) The GBP happens to be the single most important element when it comes to ranking and maps, and the good news is, most of it is completely in your control. Let's talk about the three most important elements within your Google Business Profile that you can actually manage and how to use them to your ultimate advantage. Primary GBP category When you set up your profile, you can choose from a list of nearly 4000 business categories – but you want to choose the one that most closely matches the primary keyword phrase that you'd want to rank for. Fair warning: What you want to rank for is not always available as an option, just get as close as you can. It might be helpful to do a little spying on your competitors. Just do a search on the keyword phrase you want to rank in, and see who appears in the top three positions. Then check to see what they chose as their primary category; it's working for them, so chances are that's what you should choose, too. Keywords in business name This is the most controversial thing in this list, so we need to be very careful how we tread. Long story short: if your actual business name happens to include the keywords that you want to rank for and you can put that into your GBP, it would be perfect! Having those keywords in your actual business name will help you rank for the goal search phrase. But Google does not want you padding your business name on your profile with keywords that are not actually part of your legal business name. They will probably penalise you if you do that. The way that you can use this to your advantage mostly comes into play when you're setting up your business initially. Do your keyword research and figure out if it makes sense to include your primary phrase in your legal business name or not. If it sounds natural, go for it, but if it’s going to sound awkward or spammy you should just go with whatever version sounds best. Additional business categories After you've chosen your primary business category, a little later in the process you'll get the chance to choose extra categories. They currently let you select up to nine of them. Some experts out there claim that it's possible to actually dilute your ranking potential by maxing those out. But others believe that category dilution isn't really anything to worry about and recommend adding all the relevant categories that you can (with the emphasis here on relevant). In other words, this isn't the place for keyword stuffing, it will not help you. But by adding additional, relevant categories, you open yourself up to ranking potential for more and more keyword phrases, getting you even more local visibility. Now let's talk about what you shouldn't be focusing on, and that is your physical location! It’s true that your address is a big ranking factor in Maps, there's just no getting around that. But there's also not much you can do about it, either. If someone is searching for a dry cleaner, Google Maps is going to show them ones that are close by. If you're in suburb "A" you're probably not going to show up in a result for someone searching in suburb "B", unless there's just no other competition. And along the same lines, if you’re in suburb "A" and you're trying to rank in "Major City" that is 50 km away, the fact that your physical address is not actually in that city will also probably prevent you from reaching your goal. Unless you’re willing to get a new address (which by the way, some businesses do!), you should just concentrate on those things that you do have control over, so you can rank for those searchers who are close by. And the most important thing you can do to improve your visibility, as well as your trustworthiness as a business, is definitely getting more of those five-star Google reviews. So don't forget to work on gaining customer loyalty and encourage them to leave positive reviews.

  • How to Take your Restaurant Online with Wix

Wix Restaurants was initially introduced in 2016 to help customers in the food and beverage industry easily build a website, and it has expanded significantly since then. The app allows restaurants and other food/drink businesses to design menus, take orders (free of commission) and let customers book tables, all in one place. When in-person dining was halted by the pandemic, many restaurant operators had to re-evaluate their online customer interface. To bolster its offering, Wix introduced a point-of-sale (POS) system and acquired a digital ordering business. Increased demand for takeaway There are numerous things for restaurant owners to think through before offering an online ordering option: Does it work for my type of restaurant? Do I have the capacity? What are the tools I can use to start offering online ordering right now? How can I promote my business to get online orders? Many new restaurants are adding online ordering, and not only those with classic "delivery" fare, but also breweries, gastropubs and chefs/gourmet eateries. How to set up online ordering A prerequisite to establishing online ordering is to have a menu on your website. If you don't have one, first of all you need to install the Wix Restaurant Menu App: Go to the Editor and click to “Add Apps”. Once you have the menu in place and you’ve added all your options to it, you can then add the Wix Restaurant Orders application to your site. You can tweak the design (fonts, colours and layout) and turn on the Online Ordering feature when you're happy with its look and feel. You will be moved to the Dashboard to set up online ordering: Activate online order acceptance, enable pick-up service, feature delivery areas, customise the hours of delivery and minimum order amount, delivery time and of course, payment methods. Hit "Save" and "Publish" so that your online orders can start coming in! Ordering advanced features Menu modifications There may be times when the dishes that you want to present to customers might be different from the usual dishes you serve. Instead of changing your menu, you can add a temporary one, with only the dishes that suit your current services. This will hide the regular menu from sight until you are ready to get back to it again. Delivery hours and zones To establish the pick-up and delivery services, you need to make sure that your physical address specified in the website settings (under “General Info”) is correct. This is where your customers will collect their orders and from where you set your delivery radius. You can also adjust the opening hours according to the changing circumstances of your business, with maximum flexibility. For example, you could set different delivery hours and different minimum order amounts for different areas or different week days. Phone orders This is a cool feature for those customers who prefer placing orders over the phone (or have network issues). Once you have an online ordering feature installed, phone ordering is available for you as well. You can enable this option from the main navigation panel of Wix Restaurants. Future orders When you enable online ordering, your customers can place orders within working hours. The future orders feature allows them to place orders for future dates. And that means you can increase your orders and help balance workload. Not to mention, start a new day full of confirmed pre-orders :) Online payments To allow contactless service, you can disable the cash option and accept only virtual payments. You can even set it up so that customers can leave a tip for the delivery person online. Managing orders: Wix Owner Stay on top of what's going on in your restaurant, even when you’re not there: The Wix Owner app allows you to manage all aspects of your business on-the-go. The app allows you to: manage orders from a mobile device receive instant notifications manage dish availability connect to customers. Since restaurants were forced to enhance their digital presence due to the global situation beginning in 2020, Wix Restaurants has become one of the most convenient management tools for the restaurant industry. It's clear that a strong online presence is a necessity for a restaurant's survival, and Wix’s full-service solution is the way to go.

  • Editor X Site Checker

It goes without saying that we always aim to create websites with a seamless user experience, pixel-perfect design and good SEO (search engine optimisation). But there’s always the possibility of unnoticed technical issues behind the scenes. Investigating all the elements and checking each and every page and section on all screen sizes is both time-consuming and exhausting. That’s where Editor X’s amazing Site Checker comes in! This relatively new tool in Editor X helps you identify all the issues on a web page that might need fixing. It scans the whole page and alerts you to any slip-ups or mistakes. Once the scan is done, it navigates directly to those areas so you can fix them before you embarrass yourself. :) It checks not only design issues, but also SEO, missing links, image quality and much more. Where do I find it? Under “Tools” in the top bar, click “Site Checker” and the tool will pop up in the admin panel. You can then easily access it whenever you need to. Here are some of the issues that Site Checker can help you fix… Overflowing content The checker makes sure that elements don't run over the edges of the canvas on any breakpoint and also don't overlap with each other. This is the most common issue in responsive design. Missing headers We know that every page must have a unique H1 header for better SEO and the Site Checker will find out if you missed any. Hidden elements We can add and hide some elements on a page – and the Site Checker will handily list all of the hidden ones, so you can delete those you don’t need. This is a good idea to keep your pages clean and fast-loading. Small font This ensures that all text on a page is readable. Image quality Nobody likes blurry images! How did we ever operate without this magic tool? Since it was released, we’ve used it on every single project to make sure the design is perfect on all possible screen sizes. Take it from us: Site Checker will give you the green light to publish a website with confidence!

  • SEO really MATTERS

From year to year getting into the top search results becomes more and more time-consuming and challenging. One reason for this is that there's a lot of competition and it is growing. Another factor is the regular updates to the search engine algorithms. It is almost impossible to calculate ranking factors and determine which of them are the most important and significant. Let's talk about SEO, whether it is relevant in 2023 and what approaches the experts advise to pay attention to. The biggest misconception about SEO nowadays When people talk about SEO they mostly think about meta tags, backlinks and other technical things only. However, today's SEO is not just that. SEO happens across many different channels: social media, paid traffic, video (video is a huge opportunity to boost traffic). The more coordinated you are across those channels the more impact you'll see. This might be called "Holistic digital footprint". The knowledge that we gain from SEO of how search engines work, how people search, the kinds of queries that people make to find information, whether it's on Google, Amazon, Tik Tok, YouTube or Facebook, is valuable for all the verticals. If you are only looking at what is happening on your website and only focus on traditional content like blogs, you are going to be missing a lot of potential traffic that's coming from other channels. What are the biggest changes experts see in SEO? A significant milestone where we started seeing big changes was when Google started pushing us to "mobile first". With the "mobile first" approach users also give information to Google rather than just getting information from it, and in real time. Simply by having their phone on their person, users are saying to Google if the road or cafe is busy right now. We're receiving information while at the same time sharing it. Using search engines used to be something that we just consume, but now we are a part of it. It means that Google expects your content to be more conversational. SEO is not just a "fix it and forget it" type of marketing activity We receive many requests to handle SEO, and people expect results once SEO is "done". Here's the thing, there is no such thing as "done" when speaking about SEO. Just in the last month, Google already had four updates, which serves as a testament as to just how much Google is changing their algorithm and requirements. You might have done everything perfectly and correctly, but you have to update it going forward. The internet is a living breathing organism, with users constantly engaging with content in new ways. You can't just set it and forget it, it's more like a garden, you wouldn't expect to just mow your lawn once, you have to look after it if you want things to grow and blossom! And one of the reasons why SEO is worth investing for a while is that with time you'll understand more about how your users engage with your website. Every time you test something new it builds on your skills and knowledge of both your site's SEO and user base which you should be paying attention to. It's tough to get started, but once you do its a really rewarding process. It takes 3 to 6 months to see rankins come in! Can small businesses manage SEO themselves? Or do they need an agency? One of the great things with Wix is that it provides tools and default setting that simplifies the process. If you want to go a mile further you can do it quite easily with Wix SEO tools and prompts without a deep knowledge in SEO. Another great thing about Wix is the simplicity of updating the content on your website. You can easily manage and administrate adding new articles, showing your expertise in the industry... which is precisely what Google wants to see - expertise. That's something worth investing time in and absolutely possible to do on your own. Yes, it can be more of a challenge if you want to do something very sophisticated, then you almost certainly will need help from agencies or freelancers to get that going.

  • Website Review: Do's and Don'ts

Website design itself is a pleasurable process for designers who chose this field by heart, but it may become a nightmare for both designer and client when it comes to the review phase.. I have gathered some tips to ease and streamline this process. These tips will help designers to minimise hours of work and stress. And for those who build a website with a professional designer will find this information useful as well. I have built 400+ websites so lets just say these tips come from lots of experience. Let’s look into the backstage of website design Our ultimate goal is to tailor an aesthetically pleasing and efficient website for our clients business. We always start with the visual strategy of a brand, we develop a style guide where we set and agree on the basic visuals: typography, icons, colours, imagery etc. Only once the style guide and strategy is approved by the client will we begin to work on building out the site. Then the magic work starts. If the client has a clear vision of the future website design and structure, it’s worth a discussion prior to start. Though it is not a necessity, as most of our projects are successfully completed purely based on our expertise and taste. First step is the design of the landing/home page of the future website. We create it based on the approved style guide. Once it is ready we present it to our client over a screen shared session. We want to explain every design decision and the flow of the page and we can answer all questions as we go. The client can request some amendments but it is important to understand that the page we show is the result of days of trial and errors, experimentations with content architecture, fonts, colours, etc. The elements don’t fall on the page magically. Every single design decision has a reason behind it. We don’t make random adjustments just to suit our clients. The home page is the most important page, it is the very page where all styles are set. We spend more time designing a landing page to make sure we and our client are happy with all the elements and layout. Before moving forward with the designing all other pages we get approval of all the elements on the home page: font sizing and colours for headings/subheadings and body text on all breakpoints size of negative space/margins hover effects CTA and additional buttons design Please note that comments and revision requests from the client must be clearly stated. Comments like: "Make it more exciting", "Add some pizzas" or "I don't know what I don't like" are not helpful. We can only guess what those comments mean. If a project is managed by a team, we ask the team to work out a collective response with proposed changes. We don’t accept fragmented comments from different representatives that contradict each other. This will help streamline the communication process. “How many rounds of website design reviews are included?” It is one of the most frequent questions we receive. It is usually up to the designer as to how many reviews they will include in their contract. We value our time and know what we’re doing. Having said that, it usually takes one or two rounds of reviews to reach an agreement. If you work with a web designer to build your Wix site we have gathered some tips for a better understanding of the process. Hope these tips will create clearer communication with your web designer. Not all required changes are the same. Some changes may seem like simple fixes, but sometimes take hours of work to implement. You need to know Wix platform well in order to understand the level of difficulty of any request. Remember that all the changes require time. Always triple check if its worth delaying the launch of your business. Let’s not "play" with fonts or colours Every designer would roll their eyes hearing this. Hours spent playing with everything you see on the page. Fonts and colours are chosen prior to website building. It is part of the brand style guide. We play with each element, compositions, sizes and colours before we are satisfied with the result and ready to show it. That's what you pay for, the best possible design. And by the way, there is no BEST design Design is subjective you simply need to make a choice. Some changes may hurt We may sacrifice some of the “want this” for good SEO, speed or usability. Don’t create obstacles You will need to update info on your website on a regular basis. This is an important dynamic to keep in mind when building sites. Don't sacrifice the integrity of the concept and the ease od admin or content management, for a random design idea that you think you like. Try to see the forest through the trees. Avoid changes that are not related to your core business. Subjective perception...It is very important to put your own tastes to the side and focus on your audience. After all, this website is for them and not for you. A Designer is not an engineer When you hire a designer you are not hiring a robot. Designers are creative creatures and they need the freedom to create, which is why you hired them in the first place. If you know exactly what you want design wise perhaps you need an engineer, not a designer :) Don’t get me wrong, clients can share their ideas and many times it can be quite helpful. but the moment when a client starts dictating, the designer will interest in the project and simply phone it in. Trust your designer. What if we missed something? Don't worry you did.... but don’t stress over it and take it easy. The sooner you launch the sooner you'll find out. Your website is a living organism and you will need to adapt and modify it consistently. There is no final state in the design process. Open communication between designer and client is a must.. it's better to understand what your client wants beforehand than wasting time later.! Provide the client a list of specific questions which can give you a deep understanding of what they expect you to output, their personal preferences and taste. This creative brief should be a mutually agreed upon document . Such an approach will minimize major design changes and wasted time for both client and designer.

  • Wix eCommerce Platform — The Future of eCommerce

Wix has engineered a fully-flexible, new eCommerce platform — empowering online retailers to provide unique experiences to their customers, unrestrained. Redefining eCommerce When we say “eCommerce”, we mostly think of selling physical products, but it’s not only that. These days, websites sell just about everything: bookings, rentals, tickets, deliveries…any kind of services, really. And people that come up with kick-ass ideas that can be monetised online should have the appropriate tools. Wix strives to enable entrepreneurs to provide anything to anybody, wherever in the world. If you can imagine it, you can sell it. The flow of the online sales process can consist of many different components that an eCommerce platform should take care of, including: ordering and shipping pick up packing discounts tax tips, etc. Most platforms are capable of providing the first couple of these only...But it’s not always possible to foresee what features a business will need to create a seamless process for users. In the latest release of Wix eCommerce, the product team has taken the top feature requests (from Wix Partners and individual users) and made them reality. The split Let’s remind ourselves of how sales through Wix have worked previously. There is Wix Store, which allows you to sell products, manage inventory, use cart and checkout functionality and all the necessary process flows. Then there are other options like Wix Music, which allows you to sell albums, and Wix Bookings, which allows you to sell services. Many of these options perform a checkout flow, which are all different. That’s how the product team came to realise it wasn’t the right way to go. They decided to split the stores into two: the Wix Online store and Wix eCommerce platform, both of which include components that can be used together or separately, depending on one's business needs. Now you have the Wix Online store out-of-the-box, and Wix Bookings integrated into the eCommerce platform. More functionality will be added in near the future (e.g. Wix Events). Extendable - Catalog SPI The most important and advanced thing now is that you can also integrate your own catalogue into the Wix eCommerce platform (though you may need a developer's help). This can be done in a few easy steps, by implementing the Catalog SPI short function. Your catalogue (storefront) can be anything, even a Google Sheet or storefront from another platform. Additionally, developers are now free to change the logic of the platform when it's needed, for each eCommerce project. To do this, the Wix team developed more SPIs and more entry points for business owners to use their own logic and create the smoothest flow for their customers. For example: different shipments (depending on the product type) and different payments (credit card + gift card) in one cart! More new features: Unique subscription cycles Flexible subscription plans for your customers and better billing cycles depending on the nature of your products. Loyalty program Members-only promotions and discounts, customers points and rewards to incentivise repeat purchases. Immersive shopping experience Real-time 3D/AR and semi-realistic product previews to help customers visualise your products. Custom amounts for gift cards Freedom to input desired amount for gift card purchases. Set pick-up points for orders Pick-up points allow customers to collect orders from specified locations and not pay for home delivery. Offer time-specific deliveries Streamline delivery timelines with a calendar that allows customers to pick a delivery window on a particular date. Place orders on behalf of customersProvide assistance to customers by editing orders for them through your dashboard or by creating and sending an invoice. Explore and adopt these powerful features to both accelerate your growth and increase customer satisfaction!

  • The Power of Internal Linking for SEO

SEO experts keep claiming that internal links work for helping you improve your traffic and today we're gonna dive into a little bit "why?". An internal link is a link from your site to your site it links your pages together as opposed to linking to external (someone else's) sites or external sites linking to yours. Internal Linking is a part of on-page SEO for better ranking on Google as well as beneficial for users to navigate. There are few types of internal links: Navigation links (menu that navigates users to find what they’re looking for) Contextual links (links to additional resources within your website - case studies, articles etc.) Text links or anchor texts (clickable parts of the texts that link to another page with more information in relation to the text link) mage links (buttons /charts / pictures) Footer links at the bottom of a webpage (contacts, social media buttons, other important pages) Internal Links are Official Google Ranking Factor Statements by Google officials since the early 2000's and many experiments continue to prove the value of internal linking as a strongest SEO success factor despite popular opinion that it may not be as powerful as links from trusted external sites. Google uses links in two different ways: popularity and relevance. When Google sees a lot of links coming to your website or particular page of your website, that indicates a signal of popularity. Google says: "Wow there are a lot of links coming in, it must be a popular, trusted and reliable source - we are going to rank this page!" :) The other signal that Google looks at with internal links is relevance and that's where the anchor texts come in - the clickable part of link. Google will look at those words and see what the link is about and that's a hint to what your whole page is about. Internal links also help Google crawl and index your site. The Google Bots that are sent out to fetch new information on your site will have a better idea of how useful and trustworthy your content is, the more they crawl your internal links. Search engines will see that some of your web pages have more internal links pointing towards them than others, and will therefore consider them as more important. The higher the authority of a page on your website, the more valuable its internal link becomes. Internal linking also Improves engagement signals: there should be something to click on on the page always, something to engage with! If you have a bunch of links on your page you've given your users an option to explore the other pages of the website and engage further. And this is what's going to increase the amount of time that users spend on your site, the amount of pages that they visit and lower your bounce rate (not a Google ranking signal but an important signal nonetheless) . And the more users engaged with the site (you'll see over time and there are studies on this) is usually correlated with higher Google rankings and more traffic. And even if it is not, you are still giving your users more satisfaction because they are viewing more pages, they are reading your top content and you are giving them things to do and engage in. People love clicking on links! Tips on internal linking 1. Audit your anchor text Adding Meaningful Anchors (using keywords) important Both SEO- and user experience-wise. 2. Don’t Miss Alt Text Anchors When looking at linked images, the alt text is considered equivalent to anchor text, and represents an opportunity to communicate meaning and context to search engines. 3. Link For the Source Page We often think, when we link to the target page, that it helps the target page rank, but weirdly (and validated by a lot of SEO studies) linking helps both source and target pages to rank! And the reason for this is those engagement signals we've talked about earlier and the relevance signals. 4. Link High & Tight When you add internal links you want to link high and tight you don't want to bury those links in your footer or at the bottom of the page. You want to make them prominent. Put most important links front and center! 5. Avoid First Link Priority If a page links to the same url more than once the first link has priority. For example if you have links both in your navigation and the page body and you want both anchor text to count from Google, you might want to use hashlags (screen) or other clever ways to bypass the First Link Priority (Google it). 6. Leverage Automation Internal linking is one of those rare things in SEO field where experts actually do encourage automations. Because automations can help you find relevant pages to link from at scale that are really hard to find using traditional methods."InLinks", "Twuly" and "Siteseer" are few of the most convenient tools. 7. Do not overlink! Keep it at a reasonable number and make sure that user knows why it is important, why the link you add - related to the target page. Always keep user in mind. Remember - balance is the key!
