Real Talk from Two Studio Founders
After wrapping up our first Wix Studio Cohort and receiving incredible feedback from our students, something clicked. Geenay Kotze— a fellow creative studio founder — and I were still meeting weekly, debriefing on projects, sharing wins and fails, trading stories about client chaos, and getting excited about the latest Wix Studio updates. And then we thought… why not record this?

We launched our first episode on YouTube with no fancy script or agenda — just two studio directors having honest conversations about what it really looks like to run a creative agency. From behind-the-scenes of cool web builds to dissecting new Wix Studio features, from brand strategy debates to those “you won’t believe what this client said” moments — nothing’s off the table.
We believe that the creative industry needs more open conversations. So many designers work solo, from home, navigating the highs and lows of building something beautiful. We wanted to break that isolation. Because whether you’re just starting out or 10 years in, it helps to see how others are doing it too — the good, the bad, and anything in between.
This isn’t a polished masterclass with with dramatic lighting and perfect takes and it’s not meant to be. Studio Collective is a side project we’re doing for fun, showing up each week to talk real things: client chaos, tech frustrations, Wix Studio updates and the bits of agency life no one puts on their websites.
We’re both still running our studios full-time, but this gives us a space to step back, reflect, and share the stuff we wish someone had told us when we were starting out. If it helps even one creative feel a little more confident — it’s worth it.
So if you’re a brand strategist, web designer, studio owner — or just someone nosy about how the creative world works — we’d love to have you join us.
In our first episode we covered some recent Wix Studio Updates and step by step build of a cool scroll animation I built for a coffee brand
